Danny Tenaglia returns with his first compilation in six years on July 22, when the two-disc Futurism drops on Renaissance. The mix album is also backed by a brand-new single, The Space Dance, and Danny’s first-ever Ibiza residency at Space. The US spinner built a mighty reputation for his marathon sets back in the late 90s, moving his way between house and techno like few others. He’s kept that pioneering spirit alive for Futurism, where he mixes up tunes from the likes of Yello, Wighnomy Brothers, Magik Johnson, Luca Bacchetti, Shinedoe, GummiHz, Mastiksoul, Dave Angel, Davide Squillace and Joris Voorn.

Says Danny: “If you think of the word ‘techno’, it’s just short for technology. What were Kraftwerk doing? What was Larry Levan doing up in the booth with reel-to-reel and reverb? They were being experimental. So all tracks on the compilation have been, in one way or another, changed from their original form by adding or subtracting elements in classic ‘DT style’.”
