Cass – of Cass & Slide, Cass & Mangan, and now Deadset fame – is clearly a man who can’t have too much going on at once. After releasing the debut Deadset album (alongside Tom Mangan) at the end of 2007, he’s now dropping another artist album, this time as Rogue Audio. Titled Haphazard, the long player is out on Global Underground on April 7.

With the main body of the album being done with Sam Evans (aka Vandal) at the musical enclave known as Rogue Audio HQ, Haphazard features a raft of other collaborators, including Aidan Lavelle from UNKLE (on The Only Winning Move), Luke Chable (on Custom Made), MC Rizla from New Zealand’s Salmonella Dub (on Warrior), and Dennis and Jamie from Infusion (on the cover of Take Me Home).

Away from the tunes, the impressive and downright distinctive album artwork is the joint creation of Cass and animator Jon Burgerman (www.jonburgerman.com). And their Choowie character, who takes pride of place on the sleeve, is the subject of this rather special competition cunningly entitled Where’s Choowie? Teaming up with lifestyle brand, Oki-Ni (www.oki-ni.com/page/rogueaudio), responsible for some of the world’s most unique fashion threads and accessories, Global Underground and Rogue Audio are offering the following prizes:

The person who sends in the best photo of Choowie somewhere in the world will have their photo on the front cover of the booklet for the album. The second and third place people will then be on the back and side respectively. Other prizes will include a Rogue Audio Oki-Ni Tube Set for the winner. An album and T-Shirt for the second lace, and copy of the album for third.

Visit www.globalunderground.co.uk/whereischoowie to enter the competition. Download and print off full A4 size Choowie. Attach to card and cut around the figure. Innovatively photograph Choowie in any location. Send entries to whereischoowie@globalunderground.co.uk.

The winners are the ones we like the most, with no real criteria as to what we’re looking for, so be creative! The competition closes on March 1, so get a move on!
