April 30 will be a sad day for Peace Division’s army of fans, as that day sees the release of the duo’s final trck before Justin Drake and Clive Henry go their separate ways after almost 15 years together. Since the mid-90s Peace Division have been regarded as one of the pillars of the UK house scene, recording for labels such as Junior, NRK, Crosstown Rebels, Low Pressings and Tsuba. Now after a decade-and-a-half, Justin and Clive have decided to part company to focus on solo projects and other commitments. And while this will bring a tear to the eye of many a music lover, they’re leaving behind a tonne of tunes that will stand the test of time. And their swansong, Eh Oh Um, looks set to do the same. The track is pure old-school Peace Division, with a subtle filtered loop, tight drums and a rolling bassline. The remix comes courtesy of Oslo-based Christian Burkhardt who turns in a chunky and jacking piece of house.

Eh Oh Um is out on Tsuba on April 30. Visit www.myspace.com/peacedivision and www.tsubarecords.com
